A Machrie Elopement
Islay was the perfect location for Alyson and Sean’s elopement. Sean had been here many times, and was an avid whisky fan, so where better!
In the gorgeous surroundings of the Machrie Hotel and Golf Links, the sun came out for their ceremony, hosted wonderfully as always by Argyll and Bute Registrars. After taking a few photos on the beach, I’d arranged a wee whisky experience for the happy couple at nearby Ardbeg, so off we headed!
Alyson was NOT a fan of peated whisky, well - she wasn’t, until Ardbeg managed to convert her! After a few drams we headed to the scenic surroundings of Traigh Bhan, or the Singing Sands, to take some more pictures, get thoroughly soaked, have a couple more drams and then back to the hotel! A perfect Islay elopement!
