This was possibly the most emotional elopement or wedding I have been involved in. Emma and Elod are such an indescribably amazing couple, I struggle to put it into words.
After the heartbreak of the miscarriage of their daughter Islay, they chose her due date as the day for their wedding. Creating a day of joy, of emotion, of remembrance, of love, and of new happy memories. It was also a day where we met puppy Beau, who did his best to entertain us all and try and steal the show!
It was a day of stories too, as Emma and Elod asked a couple who were on the beach to watch Beau for a few minutes, and it turned out that Stacey and Andrew had just got engaged on the next beach along! Cue sharing of drams and pictures of rings, before we made Elod’s dream come true and we headed along the coast to Ardbeg for another dram or two! The Ardbeg folks were amazing, and a first dance in the Ardbeg quad is something I’m sure will live long in the memory.
Congratulations you two, and I wish you many years of happiness and fond memories!
P.S. You should definitely check out wonderful local videographer Ashley Hope’s video of the day here.
