A Very Wild Islay Wedding Day!
I’m sharing Sarah and Uwe’s magical wedding day, partly because of the photos, but also because of the story behind it!
Coming over from Germany, this lovely couple had planned a distillery wedding, but hadn’t counted on Storm Amy! With torrential rain and strong winds, their original location had to close due to the weather! Facing a wedding but no venue, after a lot of phoning around, we had a plan - they would get married in the Bowmore Registry Office instead, and the more sheltered Bowmore Distillery kindly let us into the No.1 Vaults for some emergency wedding photos. We even got a gap in the weather to head out to the harbour!
