An Islay Elopement
When I came to look back on my 2025 weddings, Ted and Tara’s elopement was one I just had to include. Coming to elope to Islay from Canada isn’t always straightforward when you’re not on the ground to make arrangements, and they were a little apprehensive about having their photos taken - however, they were both such fun, and had such a fantastic day, it really shines through in their images. I’ll let Tara tell it in her own words from her Google review.
“We planned an elopement to Islay from Canada. This was a first for us and there was far more paperwork than we had imagined. Contacting Ben was the best thing we could’ve done. He met with us twice before meeting him the day of and we felt at ease and understood.
Ben was like a guide for us for that day and honestly, we can’t imagine how different our day would’ve been had he not been there. He supports the whole experience, not just the photography. He was reassuring, he shared our humour, he knew what would be exciting and special for us and it was epic!
We told our friends that he felt like a friend at the end! I can’t thank recommend him enough. He is a skilled photographer and the loveliest of guides. We are so grateful.
